YIS Robots and Research Event - Friday, Oct. 26th

Calling all YIS FLL teams!

Come together with other YIS FLL teams to talk robots and research! Veteran and first year teams will all learn from this event. For robots, we will have programming and attachment building areas. For Research - get some early season feedback on your research project. Other teams can help to make suggestions or provide insight into your research project.

No matter what state your robot or research is in, come and share what you have learned so far!

Annual YIS Scrimmage and Meeting - Friday, Nov. 9th

All YIS members and their families are invited to this event.

5:45 pm
* Teams arrive to set up
* YIS will provide pizza
*Team t-shirts will be distributed.

At 6:30 pm we will have a brief organizational meeting to present next year's slate of officers in the gym.

At 7:15 pm
* FLL Jr teams will present their research projects to "admirers" in the OMS Band Room
* FLL teams will run their robots in a competition setting (being timed and scored)

At 8:45 pm we will break down and clean up

YIS FLL Presentation Night - Friday, Nov. 16th

This event is for any YIS FLL team who would like to practice their Research Project presentation before they go to tournament.

We will have judges that will fill our rubric scoring sheets to provide your team valuable feedback.

No matter how much your team has ready, this event can help provide suggestions to your team to get ready for competition.

We will time the presentations and make it similar to what your team will encounter at a tournament, but we understand this is practice and will allow teams to make adjustments.

YIS sponsored FTC Scrimmage - Saturday, Nov. 17th

Need to practice on a full-sized FTC field?
Want to run your robot with 3 other robots on the field?

Then your FTC team should plan to attend the YIS sponsored FTC Scrimmage!

We will have 2 full fields for practicing and debugging your robots.
